Janet Sullivan, MD, Chief Medical Officer


Dr. Sullivan joined Hudson Health Plan as Chief Medical Officer in 1997. Dr. Sullivan is extremely active at both national and local levels in the advocacy of better health care options, particularly for underserved populations. She sits on the Board of the National Quality Forum (NQF), and is a member of the New York State Department of Health Workgroup on Pay for Performance as well as the Performance Measurement Task Force of the National Committee for Quality Health Care.

Dr. Sullivan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Antioch College. She attended the Ohio State University College of Medicine and graduated cum laude. She received two years of training in a combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency affiliated with Michigan State University in Lansing, MI, then completed a residency in Dermatology at University Hospitals of Cleveland. She continues to participate in clinical practice and sees dermatology patients at the Open Door Family Medical Center, a Federally Qualified Community Health Center in Ossining, New York.
