Margaret has her Masters and post masters Family Nurse Practitioner’s certification from Adelphi University, NY where she graduated magna cum laude. She has been with Hudson since 1998. In addition to her prior experience in managed care, Margaret worked with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York for 9 years and in coronary critical care at South Nassau Hospital.
She is well known on the local, national and international level for her work in Case Management, Certification, Transitions of Care, Models of Care, and Motivational Interviewing. Margaret is a published author and former producer and co-host of a national award winning health information radio program.
Presently, she is a member of the National Quality Forum (NQF) Steering Committee on Care Coordination, the Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Technical Expert Panel on hospital readmission within 30 days, the National Transitions of Care Coalition (NTOCC) public policy task force, the International Board of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), the New York State Department of Health Case Management Workgroup, and most recently she was appointed to the New York State Board of Nursing.
