Ted Herman, VP, Public Relations & Communications

Mr. Herman joined Hudson Health Plan in 2003 after a career of twenty years in Information Systems. His work as a technologist and sales executive began at companies like McDonnell Douglas Information Systems, Digital Equipment Corp. and Sybase. He later played a role in several start-up ventures such as Yoyodyne (acquired by Yahoo! in 1998) and Primary Knowledge. As a systems integrator, Mr. Herman helped pioneer the adoption of network-based applications and e-mail, and later created innovative Internet marketing strategies for brands such as AT&T and MasterCard.

His current responsibilities include oversight of external and internal communications, public and media relations, and the management of Hudson's online brand presence.

Mr. Herman appears in Seth Godin's best-selling book Permission Marketing (Simon & Schuster). He earned a BA from New York University in Classical Languages and the History and Literature of Religion.
