How to Keep Your Coverage

We think everyone should have access to excellent health care services. That’s why, as a member of Hudson Health Plan, we think it’s important for you to take the proper steps to stay covered!

How and when you renew your coverage depends on your current status as a member. We can help you determine your current eligibility for Medicaid Managed Care and Child Health Plus.

We’ll guide you through the process of renewal in your current program or help you enroll in the program that meets your needs today. Renewal in any of these programs is an annual requirement. Watch your mail for a letter and a renewal form. If you have any questions – contact Customer Care or call us at 1.800.339.4557.

NEW! Now you can renew your Child Health Plus online!

As of February 10, 2014, members who need to renew their child for Child Health Plus will be able to do so online. Your submission will be reviewed and you will be notified if any further action is required. For more information and to complete your Online Child Health Plus Renewal, click here.

Members who do not wish to renew online will still be receiving their information packets in the mail and can continue to do so that way. Additionally, members may also visit a Marketplace Facilitated Enroller to complete renewals for Child Health Plus.

Renewing Medicaid Managed Care

If you are currently enrolled in Medicaid Managed Care you will receive a letter from your local County Department of Social Services telling you it is time for you to renew your eligibility for these programs. You must complete the paperwork that is enclosed with your letter and return it, along with certain documents, by the date shown on your letter. Be sure to include proof of your current income and any other changes that might have occurred since you last applied or renewed your coverage. The package contains a "Documentation Checklist" which shows you what documents can be used to document changes. If the local district office does not receive the information by the date given in your letter, your coverage will end.

For your convenience, we have provided a list of County Department of Social Services offices in our coverage area.  Be sure to bring your paperwork with you, including the documentation. Please remember that it is still your responsibility to return the paperwork to the local County Department of Social Services before the deadline, or your coverage will end.
